Factors in human resources management that influence construction company’s performance in Indonesia

Abstract
There are many internal problems caused by the company itself and actually are in the control of the company’s organization. These problems usually relate to the frailty of corporate management. In Indonesia, several problems in corporate management are caused by inefficient management, constraint in budget, technology and number of skilled employees. Whereas human resources management, as one of key factor behind the company’s failures, has some problems i.e. lack of skilled and professional human resources both in technological and managerial aspects. In order to reach a strong construction industry, the problems are happening in human resources management needs to be concerned. The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze the factors in human resources management that influence the construction company’s performance in Indonesia. The research methods used are survey and structured interview to identify the factors, and analysis method used in this research is statistical analysis. The results show that the quality and employee’s performance due to demotion, is the most influential factors in human resources management. By implementing the demotion program, the performance of Construction Company in Indonesia will be improved, which each individual in the company is driven to work optimal, responsible, and loyal to the company.
